Tough Times, Tough Resolutions:

Apparently I did had the idea that I’m one of the unfortunate few in this practicum. Or maybe not.

Hakaglan.B

Apparently, there was a school personnel that used my computer without my permission. Initially I thought nothing went wrong, but when my antivirus updated itself, wham!

Hakaglan.B Worm was already everywhere within my C Drive and every other drives that I’ve known. Now the entire school’s affected because of the WLAN in D-Link D300 (it does not have its own firewall)

So the virus is bound to bounce to and fro.

Guess I need to alert the other LANParties in my hostel too.

Grr!

More info about this worm can be gotten from this site.

JKDefrag – The fastest

http://www.kessels.com/Jkdefrag/

That is if you follow the instructions in the website.

Still, its free, its lightweight, and its a decent tool for a quick defragmenting. I personally experience better performance (maybe that’s because I’ve only defrag my laptop for the 2nd time in the entire near 1 year that I’ve bought it) from my laptop in terms of boot and execution.

Give it a try! (No, i’m not being paid to type this at all)

DiGi 3G & DiGi broadband, my perspective, Part 2; What’s the deal?

A while ago, I posted “DiGi 3G & Digi broadband, my perspective”, and somehow I ticked off a reader who calls himself / herself as “John”. Apparently he’s quite upset with how I did my calculations on UTMS, with the kilobytes and kilobits (I suspect he’s saying my calculations are messed up). However, as I await for his / her input (i’m not trying to justify anything here, but I’ll also like to hear what John has to say, he/she might know something that I actually don’t, or actually be able to kindly point out what I’ve oversighted / hindsighted in the post) about the matter, I won’t be dealing much about the ideal vs practical scenario vs what if possibilities.

Poetic Justice does not exist (yet)

Poetic Justice:

“Poetic justice is a literary device in which virtue is ultimately rewarded or vice punished, often in modern literature by an ironic twist of fate intimately related to the character’s own conduct.”

To dad, and mum (POEM)

Pa & Ma
Father, Mother,
Daddy, Mommy,
A’pa, A’ma!

we know of this,
once upon a time,
you are our parents
and we are your children

As we lived,as we grew,
we played, we laughed,
all under your watchful eyes,
all under your tender hands,

sometimes we protest
sometimes we get upset
sometimes we just forget that
some time ago we were too young to understand,

patience, kindness,
firmness, love,
it brought new meaning to you,
but we didn’t knew it well, but you do,

In time we grew,
In time we matured,
In time we understood,
With all the love and sacrifices you do,

We learnt to appreciate,
because you taught us to
we learnt to love you
because you inspire us to

Once, twice, never enough,
But this is one of those many times,
To say "You are the best parents in our hearts!"
From your children, to you, pa & ma,

We say this not once,
neither twice nor thrice,
but as long as we can say,
we will say, and show our love,

To you our parents,
what is our world without you?
Your hands helped shaped it,
Your minds helped formed it,

If we could make your world better,
we will want to give it a try
If we could make your world colourful,
we will help you paint it bright

Until we do, have children too,
we’ll never understand, your sacrifices too,
but this we know, and this we understand,
you’re always the best parents, we can ever have.

“A friend of Haris” (author)

P/S: this poem was written in honouring a friend’s wish.

DiGi 3G & DiGi broadband, my perspective:

Now, I know for all those willing to stick through thick and thin with DiGi, what happened during the pre-launch period in PJ may come in as a big surprise to those who understood DiGi.

Tagged: 25 random things about yourself.

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 UNLUCKY people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

The test and the break

Later, I will have to hand in my RPH. (Rancangan Pengajaran Harian) to my supervisor.

Tomorrow, around the same time, I will have a class observed by my lecturer.

THe next week’s school exam period.

The week after that is holiday.

Till that end I’m fasting.

Talk about some test.
